Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Our Nurse Practitioner incorporates both independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with the board certified/eligible physician to provide expert care to the patients
  • Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a Supervising Physician
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients: performs comprehensive physical examination; compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination
  • Work under protocol to develop an effective, safe and patient-centered treatment plan
  • Provide timely and complete clinical documentation in the EHR following patient visits or telephone calls
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the supervising physician regarding assigned patients and provide timely notification of changes in patient status
  • Maintain ongoing communication with other members of the care team through written documentation, telephone or in-person conversation
  • Partner with the patient to develop contracts of care as needed and provide encouragement and motivational support to promote adherence to treatment plans
  • Perform other duties as determined collaboratively by the Supervising Physicians that are within the scope of practice of a Nurse Practitioner and the health care institution's policies

Benefits

Base Pay : $75-$90



Qualifications

Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing

MSN Degree Required

Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California

Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain

Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)

National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner

BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Minimum one year Nurse Practitioner experience

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is between $75-$90 hourly. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
