Job Description - Marketing Coordinator

Support and manage marketing and promotion efforts on behalf on FedGeek customer, New Jersey National Army Guard, to include not limited to:

* Develop new promotional items and giveaways through target market research and

RRNCO's input. Items shall effectively attract target market and shall be unique to the NJ ARNG at least one item per quarter dependent on fund availability.

* Develop state and local marketing plans surround recruiting and retention.

* Develop and build partnerships with State and local media organizations to maximize NJARNG advertising and marketing efforts.

* Provide direct advertising support to Recruiting and Retention Non-Commissioned Officers (RRNCOs) with the goal of generating leads, reducing attrition and increasing retention.

* Responsible for facilitating the primary functions of the New Jersey Army National Guard's Marketing Section - Branding and Lead Generation.

* Plan, develop and coordinate production of state brochures, posters and audio and/or visual materials. Create graphic designs for ad promotion and distribution.

* Research viable Recruiting Promotional Items (RPIs) and secure their procurement.

* Manage RPI inventory and distribute those items in an equitable and efficient manner.

* Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts via focus groups and production results.

* Coordinate recruiting events to maximize the recruiters' effectiveness- including in-person events when applicable.

* Coordinate and arrange for outdoor advertising.

* Update and manage NJARNG's social media platforms on a daily basis and create campaigns online for recruiting.

* Liaise with third party entities contracted to ensure all services are being received/performed satisfactorily

* Procure awards to be presented to the recruiters on a quarterly and annual basis.

* Forward leads generated from website, app and/or social media to recruiter's in the field.

* Identify Marketing products and/or services that needed to be purchased and facilitate their acquisition

* Meet with Recruiting and Retention Battalion (RRB) Leadership to ensure Commander's vision and intent is being met.

* Prepare marketing slides for monthly meetings and present information to the Commander.

* Manage all marketing efforts as needed

Required Qualifications

* At least 5 years of post-collegiate professional experience with Recruiting and Retention Marketing

* Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Business. Experience in marketing and graphics design for two years is a minimum.

* Must receive and maintain security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

* An understanding of the processes involved in Military Recruiting and understanding of Army/National Guard Regulations, a plus

* Ability to work individually, with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment

* Proficient with MS Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Illustrator or other graphic design programs a plus

* Location: On Site

* Job Type: Full-time. Hours 8AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday. The expectation is that all work will be completed "in the office" during stated working hours.

* Travel: Limited to 2-3 trips annually
