This is a hybrid role that would require commuting to our Hartford, WI headquarters multiple times a week.

Job Summary:

This role will have opportunities to lead multiple product development projects through various phases of product life cycles - concept to production. Job Responsibilities:



  • Leadership - Effectively lead and motivate cross function teams to work toward accomplishing project objectives. Hold team members accountable to meet project milestones and deliverables. Challenge team members to be innovative and take moderate risks to overcome project obstacles. Provide options, scenarios, and recommendations to overcome obstacles. Lead brainstorming discussions, resolve project conflicts, speak up and raise concern in global and regional settings, and facilitate decision making within cross functional project team (Engineering, marketing, operations, suppliers, sourcing etc.)
  • Project Oversight - Provide direct support to project core team members through development and management of project schedules, deliverables, forecasts, and capital/expense budgets. Ensure effective communication between cross functional teams across multiple domestic and international business platforms. Proactively identify, plan, and provide recommendations to overcome project risks and obstacles. Establish and maintain relationships with senior leadership to align NPD project objectives and mitigate obstacles for project completion.
  • Strategy - Identify, develop, and execute New Product Development projects that overcome complex customer requirements and are centered around innovation. Continually identify and drive improvement opportunities for the New Product Development process within the organization.
  • Subject Matter Expert - Understand and apply the NPD process and philosophies through the entire development project from conception through product launch and objectively determine the maturity level of a design and project. Receive general direction, but exercise discretion as to time management, independently identifying, prioritizing, and delegating tasks. Choose appropriate action and alternatives with rational based on project facts, constraints, and predicted consequences. Effectively communicate project status, timelines, execution plans, and deviations to various levels of the organization including cross functional team members and senior leadership.


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a product development related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, or Design) with a minimum of 7 years of experience in concurrent product development (project management, product design, process engineering or manufacturing engineering)
  • The position requires the knowledge and ability to use PC computers and keyboards.
  • PMP Certification is strongly desired.
  • Experience in air movement and/or ventilation and/or appliance design is desired.
  • Desired experience in the following:

    • OEM Product Development
    • Product Cost Reduction
    • Facilitation
    • Product Rationalization
    • Continuous Improvement methodologies
    • Lean design principles
    • Lean product development


  • Experience commercializing consumer products that include electromechanical components
