Job Summary:

The Paint Technician is responsible to safely operate and maintain all equipment at an optimal level to ensure all Quality standards are met while striving to exceed rate expectations and drive continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Prep equipment at start of shift.
  • Set up lines for different parts.
  • Conduct washer tests.
  • Ensure parts are hung correctly.
  • Ensure paint viscosity is correct.
  • Order parts and paint.
  • Perform state dump on washer, clean washer and adjusting nozzles.
  • Clean and replace chemical totes
  • Ensure proper paint coverage.
  • Conduct washer test twice per shift on stages 1 and 4.
  • Operate/Maintain all equipment.
  • Conduct all preventative maintenance (PM)


Job Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent (completed)
  • Mechanical aptitude. Ability to work from basic drawings, specification, material lists, QAS, etc...
  • Effective use of measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors and recognize quality defects.
  • Proficient soft skills used in conjunction with ability to train new employees.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Communication skills and good judgement.
  • Ability to efficiently run all equipment in the department.
  • Proactive to drive continuous improvement relating to Safety, equipment and processes.
  • Knowledgeable to identify system/equipment issues with timely escalation for resolution.
  • Proactive in leading all operators to meet/exceed all demand and expectations.



Physical Requirements:



  • Lift up to 10 lbs. continuously, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Close vision abilities needed to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to function in all PM requirements e.g. bending, kneeling, twisting, etc...
  • Ability to work with Paint/Solvents.
