- Perform delivery of projects and enhancements in support of the university's various enterprise systems and providing guidance to application developers including business analysis, high level design, detailed design, development, testing, implementation, and on-going maintenance of enterprise systems operations.
- Assist with implementing reporting and analysis solutions.
- Guide application developers on complex business systems analysis, software development, and information systems implementations and integrations to ensure successful delivery of planned projects.
- Operate under firm deadlines managing multiple assignments concurrently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Work closely with other teams within the Information Services & Technology division in solving ad-hoc information management issues using the most current information technologies available.
- Assess the complexity of the solution, plan and manage the application delivery, guiding the work of other technical team members and managing task dependencies as applicable.
- Lead the assessment, installation, configuration, integration, deployment, and ongoing support of the ERP and third party vendor applications, including cloud platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to application developers as well as perform hands-on technical tasks, collaborate and guide the team to identify, analyze and fix technical issues and challenges.
- Respond to incidents, service outages and service requests in a timely manner as delegated by the Assistant CIO, CRM and Student Information Systems and the Associate CIO, Enterprise Applications, and collaborate with other technical team members, functional partners and vendors for problem resolutions.
- Ensure application systems integrity by performing periodic software audits and maintain appropriate change control, test plans and code review documentation for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Architecture and Integration to ensure new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Oversee the daily activities of project teams and liaison with team members, management, and campus partners to ensure the successful and timely delivery of project commitments.
- Identify and mitigate risks and form appropriate contingency plans.
- Research and propose systems enhancements, vendor solutions, process improvements and automations to address functionality gaps and meet new functionality demands and business needs and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and campus partners.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code. Package and support deployment of releases. Work with team members in IST for migration of legacy applications.
- Ensure quality of deliverables by establishing and following best practices and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned and as needed, including readiness to support after hours and weekends.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience in job offered or 3 years of experience as a
Software Engineer or any other job title performing the following job duties:
- Configuring and testing implementation of student information systems and/or patient vitals device capture equipment;
- Supporting the IT and enterprise information system needs of department heads;
- Developing workflows according to business requirements;
- Performing final user acceptance testing;
- Reviewing data quality issues;
- Analyzing and testing system solutions;
- Providing user support and troubleshooting with colleagues;
- Advising staff of system upgrades, releases and patches; and
