Description

  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization's products/services.
  • Develop yearly marketing objectives to establish sales goals.
  • Fifty percent travel is expected for all Sales and Marketing employees. Sales individuals will utilize that travel time making sales calls/attending trade shows to effectively reach or exceed their target achievements, maintaining routine call and monthly sales reports.
  • Work with Business Development Manager to identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. Plans will include share analysis to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products/services.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Assist Business Development Manager with modifier-pricing strategies for company's products to ensure profitability.
  • Analyzes the territory/market's potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer's value to the organization.
  • Recommend changes in marketing philosophy and policy when such changes serve the best interests of the company.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Provide sales strategies to other sales/marketing staff to insure that overall plan effectiveness is equal to or better than competitors.
  • Ensure effective control of sales results and corrective action takes place within designated budgets.
  • Report to the Business Development Manager changes in sales conditions or significant competitive activity that could impact the company.
  • Work together with Technical Service and R&D to forge technology partnerships with key customers.

Qualifications
Education
Masters of Business Administration (preferred)
Bachelors of Chemistry (preferred)
Bachelors (required)
Experience
3 - 5 years: Sales experience (preferably in the PVC, PVC additives, or other specialty chemicals industry) (required)
