The Opportunity The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide College of Business (COB), invites applications and nominations for the role of Associate Dean of Academics and Operations located at the ERAU Worldwide Headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida. Job Duties: Operational Management:
- Oversee essential college processes and the college business rhythm, including promotions and tenure, faculty/staff recruitment, program modifications, and accreditation protocols.
- Strategically guide the creation and implementation of policies and initiatives that advance the college's long-term goals, delegating specific operational tasks to appropriate managers.
- Task oversight: Conduct periodic reviews of task assignments to ensure they align with current job roles and organizational objectives. Develop a structured process to address feedback on task assignments to correct overlaps and gaps.
Strategy:
- Strategic Execution: Oversee the development and execution of the college's strategic goals. Ensure strategic objectives are aligned with academic excellence and operational efficiency across all departments.
- Chair regular strategy alignment meetings to ensure that departmental plans and activities are fully integrated with the college's strategic objectives.
Representation and Communication:
- Academic Leadership: Collaborate with the leadership team to manage and enhance academic offerings, maintaining a focus on market relevance and student success.
- Campus Collaboration: Strengthen partnerships with other campus departments to foster interdisciplinary programs and initiatives, enhancing the COB's contribution to the university's overall academic mission.
- Representation: Serve as the face of the College of Business in various forums, including university committees and in the Dean's absence, to advocate for and advance the College's mission.
- Communication: Lead the strategy for internal communications, ensuring that all departments are aligned and informed of college-wide initiatives and changes.

Qualifications
Required education:
- PhD from an AACSB accredited institution in a Business-Related discipline that is currently housed in the ERAU Worldwide College of Business.
Required qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience at the Department Chair level or higher.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proven leader with a significant record of advancing institutional goals and objectives, including the development of new programs, establishment of industry partnerships, and enhancement of student success.
- Ability to qualify for the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the College of Business with Tenure.
- Intimate familiarity with opportunities and challenges within higher education.
