What you'll do:

SUMMARY:
The
Yard Truck Driver is responsible for tracking and maintaining the sea container
and semi-trailer yard and supporting production flow by ensuring the assembly
line is appropriately prepped / spotted for company's Isuzu N-Gas product line.

JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage all aspects of the parts lot - sea containers and semi-trailers
* Inspect inbound containers and trailers for damage and communicate back to
Isuzu supply chain
* Manage paperwork and communicate to drivers which containers are being returned
* Deliver containers and trailers to production facility based on build schedule
* Document inbound/outbound containers and trailers and communicate to Isuzu
supply chain daily
* Adhere to all relevant safety standards
* Demonstrate ability to perform various tasks with-in a fast-paced environment
* Manage hourly and daily needs for the process at hand
* Responsible for vehicle inspection and maintenance logs
* Schedule equipment repairs, as needed
* Identify issues/bottle necks in day-to-day operations and respond in a timely
and decisive manner
* Maintain organization of the yard, catering to the needs of production with an
emphasis on safety
* Understand the sequence and priority of each dock / shipment
* Identify and communicate parts shortages
* Initiate process improvements
* Work in proximity with customer, as needed
* Solve complex problems with minimal assistance
* Obtain
and maintain a valid fork truck/stand up license - including completion of
daily maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment
* Other tasks as assigned

What you need to be successful:

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Possess a CDL Class A with medical card, or be willing to obtain as needed
* Excellent attendance and safety record
* Positive attitude
* Strong and consistent attention to detail
* Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
* Team oriented
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
* Understanding and working knowledge of operations within the production
facility
* Capable of comprehensive listening (understanding the message(s) that is being
communicated)
* Basic computer skills are required
* Willing to:
o
Learn and rotate within all areas and plants
o
Improve self / area / company (including pursuing additional training, if
needed)
o
Develop a working knowledge of company's systems (example: AS/400)
* Able to:

Manage priorities and workflow
o
Work a flexible schedule

Work overtime on short notice

Work in adverse weather conditions

Adjust to physical demands of position
