The Compensation Analyst supports the Total Rewards function and Human Resources department for RWE Renewables Americas (RWERA), with specific focus on Salary, Bonus, Long-Term Incentives, annual compensation review process, and retention arrangements. Will assist in the review, analysis, design, and administration of RWERA compensation programs.
This position will be required to be hybrid in Austin, TX. Essential Functions:
- Reviewing job descriptions to ascertain the scope of employee responsibilities and minimum requirements.
- Analyzing, interpreting, and communicating the company's total rewards programs.
- Reviewing a wide range of compensation data to ensure the company's plans are competitive.
- Writing and developing new compensation plans, programs, and processes, within defined parameters.
- Performing data collection & analysis, and creating working databases for ongoing use.
- Support Talent Acquisition team in market analysis and recommending working salary ranges.
- Design and communicate grades, salary ranges, salary increase budgets, and policies/guidelines.
- Researching and analyzing results of surveys, as well as submitting confidential data on company's behalf.
- Researching trends and best practices in compensation, as well predicting future trends & developments.
- Ensuring company compliance with relevant laws and regulations (related to FLSA, FMLA, fair pay, etc.).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is required, with degrees in business administration or human resources preferred. Degrees earned in other areas (Computer Science or Engineering, etc.) will be considered.
- At least three (3) years of experience in compensation or human resources (HR) environment. Direct experience working with compensation plans is preferred. A combination of education, certifications and experience will also be considered.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint. Experience working with ERP/HR platforms.
- Hands-on experience working with large data sets, pivot tables, graphs, and major functions in Excel.
- Identifying trends, issues, and patterns in data/information. Making relevant conclusions & recommendations.
- Ability to recognize and take the initiative to identify and solve problems.
- Ability to work with shifting priorities and assignments as assigned. Experience and ability to prioritize work, recognize and support department goals and management team needs.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
