The Researcher Engagement and General Collections Division (REGC) in GICD is offering an opportunity for a qualified individual at the GS-15 level to serve on a full-time, 120-day temporary promotion to the SL position, OR a qualified individual at the SL (no promotion) to serve on a detail as the Chief of the REGC Division. Applicant must have one year time-in-grade at the GS-15 level to be eligible for the temporary promotion at the SL level. The position serves as the Chief of REGC, and is responsible for the preservation, security, and service of those collections in the Division's custody. The Library has initiated an important and exciting reorganization to establish the new Researcher Engagement and General Collections Division, which has been effective since October 1, 2023. The role of Chief of REGC is a significant leadership and career development opportunity, calling for the successful applicant to work with the Director of the General and International Collections Directorate to continue implementation of the reorganization, to lead an experienced and committed management team and help ensure continuity of programs and operations, and to oversee and support a talented and diverse workforce as they serve the needs of Congress and the public on a day-to-day basis.
