Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Job Description
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) in Rolla, Missouri is seeking outstanding applicants for a non-tenure-track (NTT) teaching faculty position at the assistant/associate professor rank. NTT teaching faculty members contribute to the core activity of teaching and are fully engaged in the department's curriculum development and delivery. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level across a range of fundamental mechanical and aerospace engineering courses. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching strength and interest in machine design, kinematics/machine dynamics, or structures. The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is the largest department on campus, and each program is the largest of its kind in Missouri. The department currently has 24 internationally recognized tenured/tenure-track faculty, 7 teaching faculty, 10 staff members, over 200 graduate students (including 90 Ph.D. students), over 1,500 undergraduate students, and over 12,000 living alumni. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field. Successful prior teaching experience is an important consideration. Industrial experience is very desirable but not required. Application Materials
