Position Summary

Maxwell Museum of Anthropology-Pueblo Pottery Exhibit Project Assistant:

In collaboration with Pueblo artists and community members, the Project Assistant will assist the Ethnology and Exhibit Curators (and other museum staff as appropriate) to prepare materials for a major exhibition of the Maxwell Museum's permanent collection of Pueblo pottery.

Tasks will include correspondence and communications; tracking of objects and A/V materials, including documentation of Native terms; and other curatorial, exhibition, and collections management tasks as assigned. This 10-month position (20 hrs wk, through summer 2025) is funded by a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation's Program in American Art.


Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.



Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills

Attention to detail required
