Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic 2nd Shift FSQA (Food Safety Quality Assurance) Superintendent to join our team and ensure that all food safety programs meet and exceed industry standards. In this role, you will oversee FSQA procedures, manage personnel, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain control of hold products. You will be a key player in identifying and correcting quality and food safety issues while supporting other departments to maintain the highest standards. This role includes stepping into the FSQA Manager position when necessary, ensuring a seamless operation at all times.

Who You Are:



  • Experienced in FSQA management, with at least 2 years in a food and beverage environment, preferably in the meat industry.
  • A strong leader with advanced skills in adaptability, problem-solving, and time management.
  • An effective communicator, capable of leading teams and ensuring all quality and food safety requirements are understood and met.
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, and capable of making a significant impact on food safety and quality processes.


What You'll Do:



  • Assist in developing and managing HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and related programs to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and customer expectations.
  • Maintain and oversee the Food Safety department, including updating HACCP plans, flow charts, and SSOPs.
  • Lead weekly sanitation meetings and participate in cost reviews for sanitation activities, monitoring key performance indicators and taking action when needed.
  • Serve as the USDA liaison during off-shift hours, managing NR resolutions and other regulatory issues, and leading the internal Master Audit Plan including sanitation and SOP audits.
