Description Acara Solutions has been providing staffing industry services to aerospace and advanced manufacturing firms throughout the country for 65 years. Our national/international aerospace client has an opening for a Continuous Improvement Manager for their new plant in Auburn, CA (near Sacramento). This is a direct salaried onsite position with a base salary range of $120K - $153K. This is an onsite on-the-floor position within an aerospace metal machine shop. Heavy Lean with Kaizen projects required. As a Continuous Improvement Manager you will master the firm's Strategy Deployment Process ("SDP') and menu of lean manufacturing techniques. You will be a part of the development of the company's strategic plan and be a part of the execution of that plan via SDP. You will also develop mastery of key continuous improvement tools such as Standard Work, Kanban, TPM, 5S, Visual Management, SMED, Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping. After training others on the use of these tools and leading Kaizen continuous improvement events, you will be responsible for assisting the organization in its daily use of the tools in both the factory and office. Facilitate and manage the Kaizen Roadmap Coordinate the continuous the continuous improvement activity and team members Facilitate establishment of lean principles throughout the organization, to include coaching to ensure completion of projects Apply CBS tools to identify root causes and develop counter measures Work with business leaders to attain business goals Promote the company business system through daily passion for continuous improvement and the constant elimination of waste Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (a plus within engineering or manufacturing operations) Min 3 years of experience in continuous improvement processes within a manufacturing operation (a plus within an aerospace metal machine shop) This should include change management and accounting/finance knowledge Min 3 years of experience in LEAN tools/methods including work/visual management, transactional, value stream mapping and problem solving (must have strong Kaizen experience) Min 2 years of project management skills/experience This is an aerospace ITAR facility, U.S. persons required.
