The position requires a candidate who is not only highly organized and detail-oriented but also capable of managing a complex schedule, providing strategic support, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced, confidential environment. The Executive Assistant to the President is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the president's office and requires a candidate who can handle the demands of a high-level executive environment while maintaining discretion and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Schedule Management: The Executive Assistant will manage the president's schedule, ensuring meetings are well-prepared with the necessary materials and start on time.
  • Communication & Collaboration: The role involves working with various university departments to address concerns and ensure effective communication between the president and other stakeholders.
  • Travel Coordination: The assistant will handle travel arrangements, including accommodations and itineraries.
  • Meeting Coordination: The role includes scheduling, organizing, and managing the logistics of meetings, as well as serving as a liaison to attendees. Ensuring the President is fully prepped for internal and external meetings and engagements.
  • Strategic Support: Assisting the president in setting priorities for the office and managing both internal and external commitments.
  • Issue Management: Researching and following up on issues addressed to the president, particularly those of a sensitive or confidential nature.

  • Customer Service: Providing excellent service to a wide range of constituents, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools like Teams and Outlook.
  • Calendar Coordination: Skilled in scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting management.
  • Communication Skills: Professional level written and oral communication.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Higher Education Understanding: Knowledge of the higher education environment and its unique demands.
  • Professionalism: A polished demeanor that represents the university and the president's office positively.

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience supporting executive leadership or a combination of relevant experience
