JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a NCAA Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to oversee Penn State's 36-hole public golf course and varsity practice areas totaling 300 acres. This position reports directly to the General Manager of the Penn State Golf Courses and is responsible for the following:
This position must uphold a commitment to comply fully with the mission of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics' vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact. Additionally, the successful candidate must display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to integrity, inclusion, and diversity and an understanding and commitment to student-athlete well-being. Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher, and 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience . Preferred degree in Turfgrass Science. Requires Pennsylvania State Pesticide Applicators License. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required.
