Your Job

Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is seeking a Buyer to work in our Procurement organization.

This position could be based out of our headquarters in Wichita, KS or at our facility in Enid, OK. This could include an estimated 10% to 25% travel and on call status, as needed.

Our Team

This role primarily supports Koch Fertilizer plants, where fertilizer and other ammonia related products are created. The centralized Koch procurement team supports these operations by championing transaction excellence by ensuring purchase orders are tracked and delivered timely and payment to suppliers are timely. The procurement team works closely with the maintenance, warehouse, engineering, and project management teams to ensure transaction excellence for the entire purchase to pay process.

What You Will Do

  • Utilize company's purchasing system to process purchase orders from requisitions
  • Ensures the contractual document accurately reflects the terms and conditions of purchase, including payment terms, freight terms, incoterms, and other key commercial terms
  • Manage daily and weekly procurement reports/dashboards to support procurement capability and efficiency
  • Manage procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials at assigned production facility(s)
  • Represent our company in discussions and projects related to processes, contracts, and procurement control
  • Handle discrepancies with suppliers to ensure customer service to our internal customers
  • Assist in implementing new processes and continuously improving existing ones
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Track teams to resolve issues that may affect ability for invoices to process
  • Other activities, as needed, to support overall transactional excellence

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 4 year college program, 2 year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.) or Procurement experience
  • Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2025.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of purchasing process and procedures and key commercial terms such as freight payables and INCOTERMS
  • Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools including Access (database applications)
  • Experience with reporting systems such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Maximo, Ariba System knowledge
