Radiology Aide- 20 hours

The Radiology Aide works as an integral part of the Radiology healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. The Radiology Aide is responsible for assisting the radiologic technologist during radiology procedures such as exam room preparation and turnover, escorting, transporting and interviewing patients, and directing patients in and out of the Radiology suite, including performance of housekeeping duties within the department, as well as assisting in computer paper work.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively; verbal and non-verbal communication skills important.
• Willingness to initiate communication/conversation with patients and families.
• Ability to multitask in a busy work environment.
• Computer literacy, ability to utilize computerized healthcare system and other computer based equipment within the department
• Works well with other members of the Team
• Neat and clean appearance
• Able to assist in lifting and moving patients
