Must be able to hear prontow alarm from a distance of 10'

Must reach about 36" (H) to lay in warp yarn in front comb 3 times/shift and to repair ends as needed.

Must be able to detect yarn defects. Distinguish colors.

(X) BENDING / STOOPING
|
Stoop/bend (approx. 33 times/shift) to check yarn while machine is running and when repairing yarn breaks - 2 ft. above floor level.

Pulls/pushes cradle for loom beams 6-10 times/shift approx. 3 ft. distance (approx. 2,000 lbs.). Must be able to operate rack-o-matics. Fingering-operate computer 11 times/shift, detect tight ends.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
|
Must wear gloves when doffing loom beams. Mesh gloves when cutting waste. Closed toe shoes. No jewelry, shoulder-length hair must be pulled up and pinned back. Shoes must cover entire foot, heel to toe. Do not blow off clothes with air hose.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES:

MANDATORY:

Read and write. Qualified B-III operator. Must be able to read bad end report/slashing instructions

PREFERRED:

High school graduate or equivalent

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
|
Must be able to work assigned schedule and shift with minimal absences. Must be able to tolerate non-toxic odors.

MATERIALS USED
|
After wax, size, lease strings, rope, weights, flannel, masking tape, pen, felt markers, tie spools, synthetic yarn for various lots, deniers, etc.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
|
Immediate supervisor. Performs with minimal direction

DIRECTION EXERCISED
|
Instructs slasher helper.
