Summary:

Goldbelt Apex LLC, is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master. As a Scrum Master, you will work with scrum teams consisting of software developers, business analysts and other subject matter experts supporting the modernization efforts of our federal government customer.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as a Scrum Master of scrum teams consisting of software developers, business analysts and other subject matter experts within the to deliver software (tracked as story points) within 3-week sprint cycles
  • Organize and lead Quarterly Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Review and Retrospectives, Daily Scrums, and Backlog Grooming sessions
  • Collaborate with the Product Owners (POs) to facilitate meetings and requirements gathering sessions
  • Translate high level business requirements into user stories and acceptance test criteria using Agile methodology
  • Conduct system demos to a large audience, including POs and business stakeholders
  • Prioritize product backlogs, set work priorities, identify risks and issues and resolve any roadblocks
  • Measure team performance metrics including efficiency, velocity, capacity and defect density
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and demonstrate system features to POs and business stakeholders
  • to track user stories, defects and traceability to produce meaningful reports
  • Work closely with development and test leads in an acceptance test-driven development environment; participate and coordinate various testing activities

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous work streams, including projects and program initiatives, and prioritize, manage, and execute effectively with compressed timelines and ambiguous tasking
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and complete relatively complex tasks effectively using available resources, as needed, with minimal guidance
  • Advance skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills -- both in verbal and writing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience including:
    • Serving as a Scrum Master role on a large-scale project
    • Requirements gathering and analysis for new application development project
    • Facilitating requirements sessions with a large audience of business stakeholders (20+)
    • Negotiating deliverables by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and scrum teams from initial requirements to final implementation
    • Application development methodologies such as Agile including writing Epics and User Stories using Gherkin script
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience with JIRA, Rally or other agile tools
  • US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFe 4.0 Agilest
  • ICAgile Certified Professional
  • Business Process Management Professional
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience in Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) approach
  • Experience in the role of a project coordinator

The salary range for this position is $129,000 - $161,000 annually
