Responsibilities

Working under minimal supervision, performing tasks with a sense of urgency and driving root cause corrective action, you will:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive incremental improvements in existing products, manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Engineering expert on BOMs, item masters, and other engineering processes in the ERP system. Configure configured to order (CTO) products in the ERP system (JDE and CPQ software)
  • Responsible for several large projects with large scope / high complexity and / or multiple medium projects with medium scope and complexity.
  • Provide direction to the supply chain team when parts or assemblies go obsolete or the specifications change - Update necessary designs, drawings, BOMs, materials specs, etc.
  • Manage Agency Certifications - Help sales to obtain new certifications to open up sales into new markets (IECEx, ATEX, ETL, NSF, etc.); Maintain existing certifications; Factory audit support.
  • Support supply chain cost reduction efforts by responding to supplier issues and questions on drawings, BOMs, material specs, etc.)
  • Quality, Customer, and Internal Escapes - Investigate, determine root cause and implement mistake proof solutions.
  • Value and i2V Engineering - Lead value and i2V engineering projects as needed - Redesign products to reduce cost; validate new designs through lab testing.
  • Sales (Quote and Aftermarket) Support - Investigate and respond to questions from customers concerning NACE, Material specs, compliance to API, questions about products, product enhancements, etc. Assist engineered to order (Special) jobs.
  • Create/improve product design data and implement product enhancements as required (3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Material, etc.)
  • Engineering subject matter expert to help EH&S complete root cause investigations and implement engineering solutions to prevent reoccurrence.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with 8-10 years of practical hands-on experience in mechanical engineering or industrial/commercial product manufacturing
  • Proven track record in leading projects to implement cost reduction/process improvement/product enhancement ideas and developing plans to prioritize and resolve customer issues and engineered orders
  • Demonstrated experience leading, facilitating organizing and working effectively with cross functional teams, departments to execute the necessary results
  • Strong background with structuring engineered products in an ERP system
  • Proven track record in implementing cost reduction on parts and processes



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

  • Fully site based
  • Minimal travel under 10%
  • US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident



Key Competencies

  • 3D CAD Modeling experience required (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task efficiently and strong organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written
