Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MED-Psych & Behavioral Science This Research Project Coordinator position is in the Mental Health Services and Policy Program (MHSPP) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (PBS) in the Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM) at Northwestern University (NU). MHSPP's mission is to improve the lives of children and families that receive publicly funded mental health services by providing research, evaluation, and technical assistance. MHSPP faculty and staff include psychologists, health services researchers, social workers, database administrators, and data analysts. This Research Project Coordinator position will provide technical assistance to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IL-DCFS) as part of a contract for services between NU/MHSPP and IL-DCFS. Specifically, this position will manage daily operations of social-behavioral research study(ies) involving multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, sponsors and other external project stakeholders. The position will monitor study performance, analyze and review results, and supervise the development and implementation of new protocols. The position will assign work and supervise study staff, review technical operations ensuring that all processes, protocols and procedures to ensure quality control and functioning are up to standards. The position may co-author scientific papers for presentation and publication and will ensure that all study activities are completed by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and all current local, state, and federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy and procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB). Note: This position is a hybrid position and in-office time is expected Supervisor provides objectives, deadlines and specific instructions only for new, difficult, and/or unusual work. Work is reviewed upon completion and only occasionally to verify technical accuracy and compliance with practice, policy, and procedures.
