We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce CRM Analytics Tech Lead to oversee the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce CRM Analytics (CRMA and FKA Einstein Analytics) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce CRM, particularly in analytics and reporting, and will lead data-driven decision-making for the Salesforce ecosystem. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, tech lead experience, and strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The CRMA tech lead has a keen interest in leveraging the latest features of the Salesforce CRMA+ platform, such as dynamic dashboards, and built-in AI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Lead



  • Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce CRM Analytics solutions, ensuring they meet the business requirements and are scalable for future needs.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for analytics development, data integration, and governance within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases and innovations, incorporating new features and functionalities into the analytics strategy.


Analytics Strategy and Execution



  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs, translating these into technical requirements.


  • Develop and oversee the development of dashboards, reports, and data models using Salesforce CRM Analytics (formerly Einstein Analytics).
  • Responsible for triaging and troubleshooting issues reported by users and other technical team members.
  • Lead the integration of Salesforce data with external data sources, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data for analytics.
  • Implement and maintain data governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across analytics solutions.


Team Management and Collaboration



  • Work within a team of Salesforce developers, data analysts, and administrators, providing guidance and support in day-to-day analytics activities.
  • Collaborate with IT, business intelligence, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of analytics initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members and business users on Salesforce analytics tools and best practices.



Project Management



  • Work with product owner, business analysts, UI/UX designers, business stakeholders and colleagues on the planning and execution of analytics projects, timeline management, and risk mitigation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for analytics-related projects, regularly updating stakeholders on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of deliverables by conducting thorough testing and validation of analytics solutions.
  • Plan and execute deployments using enterprise best practices.


Performance Monitoring and Optimization



  • Monitor the performance of analytics solutions, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks to optimize system efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance the functionality and user experience of Salesforce analytics tools.
  • Track and analyze the adoption and usage of analytics tools within the organization, making data-driven decisions to improve engagement and impact.


Compliance and Security



  • Ensure that all analytics solutions comply with relevant industry regulations and organizational policies, particularly concerning data privacy and security.
  • Oversee the implementation of robust security measures to protect sensitive data within Salesforce CRM Analytics.


Business Impact and ROI



  • Demonstrate the value and impact of Salesforce analytics solutions by delivering actionable insights that drive business performance.
  • Measure and report on the return on investment (ROI) of analytics initiatives, using metrics such as user adoption, cost savings, and revenue growth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Salesforce trailblazer ranking and/or certifications such as Salesforce Certified Einstein Analytics and Discovery Consultant are a major plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer with a focus on Salesforce CRM Analytics (FKA Einstein Analytics). Following are the key areas of knowledge needed to for this role:


Salesforce Ecosystem





    • Salesforce CRM: Understanding of core Salesforce functionalities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and how they integrate with CRM Analytics.
    • Salesforce Administration: Proficiency in Salesforce administration, including user management, security settings, and data management.
    • Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components: Knowledge of Salesforce's development tools and frameworks to understand how custom solutions integrate with CRM Analytics.


  • Release Management: In-depth understanding of enterprise class deployment methodologies with multiple environments supporting a standard software development lifecycle.


CRM Analytics



  • Dataflows & Recipes: In-depth understanding of dataflow and recipe creation to extract, transform, load (ETL) data, including write-backs to Salesforce.
  • Dashboards & Lenses: Expertise in designing and building interactive dashboards and lenses that provide actionable insights.
  • Security & Sharing: Strong grasp of row-level security and how to manage data visibility within dashboards and datasets.
  • Einstein Discovery and Predictions: Strong grasp of models for the collection of performance metrics, settings, predictions, and data insights.
  • Query Language: Competency in reading and writing Structured Query Language (SQL), Salesforce Analytics Query Language (SAQL) and Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL).


Data Integration & Management



  • Data Modeling: Ability to design effective data models that support robust analytics and reporting.
  • Data Integration: Proficiency in integrating external data sources into Salesforce, using tools like Salesforce Connect, APIs, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft).
  • ETL Processes: Experience with ETL tools and processes, especially as they relate to bringing data into CRM Analytics from various sources.


Data Visualization & Reporting



  • Best Practices in Data Visualization: Knowledge of best practices for creating intuitive and effective visualizations that drive user adoption and insights.
  • KPI & Metrics Definition: Ability to work with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to the business.
  • Advanced Reporting Techniques: Proficiency in advanced reporting techniques, including the use of bindings, SAQL (Salesforce Analytics Query Language), and JSON.


Project Management & Leadership



  • Project Management Methodologies: Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or other project management frameworks to effectively lead analytics projects.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading technical projects and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and refine analytics solutions based on feedback.

  • Domain-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific business domain (e.g., sales, marketing, finance) to contextualize analytics insights.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on overall company success, thresholds met and other terms and conditions of the Company's active bonus policy for the respective year.
