Sanitation Operator II position in Paterson, Washington is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). We are hiring two (2) positions for this function. In this role you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas and for maintaining and improving sanitation within our winery. This role is full time. One position is day shift and works Monday - Thursday from 6:00am - 4:30pm, and the other position is night shift and works Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm - 2:30am. Sanitation Operator job responsibilities include:



  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of all production areas, including but not limited to, equipment tanks, walls, floors, hoses, transfer lines, clamps, and gaskets.
  • Understand proper handling and application practices of various sanitation chemicals.
  • Read and understand chemical warnings.
  • Disassemble equipment and tank valves for cleaning purposes; reassemble equipment when sanitized.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Continual communication with supervisors on location needed for sanitation.
  • Ensure that proper labeling is in place on all sanitation equipment and tanks.
  • Maintain proper records on daily sanitation.


Position Requirements:



  • High School or General Equivalency Diploma preferred.
  • Must be 21 years or older (Alcohol) and have a history of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented; able to balance multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player who is able to work independently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, kneel, twist, pull, push, and walk on uneven ground during work shift.
  • Must be comfortable working at various heights and in tight spaces.
  • We follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in our production facilities. You will be required to follow all GMP and Safety requirements.
  • Experience with forklift and scissor lift


Your Compensation:

$18.50/hour
