Training Sessions in November, reviews and admissions meetings from December 2024 - February 2025; Work schedule is largely independent outside of trainings and meetings with weekly goals and deadlines.

Student Affairs at the Gillings School of Global Public Health provides an array of services and resources to prospective, admitted and current students. We aim to enhance student development by providing a supportive and safe environment in which you can achieve academic, social and professional success. We coordinate major schoolwide programs such as orientations, a student activities fair, a career and internship fair and professional development workshops. We work to recruit excellent students; coordinate diversity outreach programs to expose high school, undergraduate students and professionals to the field of public health; and offer career services for current students and recent alumni.

The UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health seeks accomplished and talented candidate(s) to review applications for the MPH, BSPH and other degree programs. Selected candidate(s) will attend trainings in November 2024, participate in regular admissions committee meetings, and review approximately 20 applications per week from December 2024 - February 2025. The goal of this position is to help the Admissions Committee make a more informed decision regarding potential applicants for programs. The reviewer will complete a detailed evaluation form for each applicant and provide recommendations to the Admissions Committee based on the applicant's qualifications. This position is likely to be based in a tele-working environment (i.e. home office).

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Graduate degree in progress or completed, preferably in public health, education, or related field; experience with graduate admissions preferred; experience with MS Teams, WebAdmit/ SOPHAS, and/or other application software preferred. Anyone who has been appointed to serve on a current Gillings admissions committee is ineligible to be hired as a seasonal reviewer.
