  • Conduct observations in school and interview teachers as necessary to get a full picture of the child's development
  • Work collaboratively with MDT members to write and edit thorough Evaluation Reports (ERs) within mandated timelines for developmentally-appropriate Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development
  • Adhere to mandated compliance timelines for conducting evaluations and writing and sending ERs to families
  • Update child electronic record in internal information management systems and state-managed database systems to ensure compliance with internal timelines and state and federal mandates by entering data included, but not limited to, PTE received date, evaluation scheduled and completed date, eligibility, and diagnosis
  • Update file notes in child's electronic record in internal information management systems to ensure detailed documentation of parental contact, outreach, tasks completed related to the evaluation process, including but limited to, reminder calls to family about scheduled appointment, teacher-related calls and responses, and evaluation cancelations
  • Notify the appropriate staff member for No-Shows and reschedules
  • Notify the appropriate stakeholder agency (e.g., Childlink, Partnership, and Head Start Special Needs Coordinators) via email with eligibility determination
  • For children found ineligible, create Notice of Recommended Educational Placement (NOREP) and call family to review assessment results and reason for ineligibility; close out child's record in information management systems as documented in ELS procedures
