Overview

The HRIS Business Analyst supports and maintains HRIS systems, specifically Dayforce. This position works closely with functional HR users, other business partners and various software vendors to gather requirements and develop functional specifications and works with functional HR users to develop training materials and test enhancements and other changes to our HRIS systems. Additionally, the position identifies data integrity issues and analyzes data flows for process improvement opportunities. This position employs business process knowledge, analysis, design, testing and collaboration with technical peers to solve complex business problems.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as the subject matter expert for MFA Oil's HCM, including system enhancements and upgrades, upstream and downstream systems and processes, and third-party integrations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams (HR, IT and Finance) to develop highly effective solutions to help streamline and automate HR processes.
  • Support critical system maintenance and operational tasks within the HRIS.
  • Identify, extract, and analyze HR trends and patterns to improve operational efficiencies in HR as well as the organization.
  • Identify and recommend new processes/procedures to improve human resource service levels. Implement approved changes.
  • Utilize Human Resources databases, business intelligence and other reporting tools to create ongoing and ad-hoc reports, analytics and dashboards to inform HR strategies and meet the reporting needs of management and Human Resources staff.
  • Assess current system utilization and identify and recommend improvements, such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize the HRIS's value and efficiency.
  • Recommend and establish processes, procedures, and documentation for HRIS system features and functionality for end-user communication and training.
  • Create and audit appropriate security roles across all human resources systems to maintain and improve system integrity, data accuracy, and security.
  • Develop test cases and conduct functional testing for system upgrades, enhancements and new functionality.
  • Identify system problems, perform problem resolution, provide support and implement corrective and preventative solutions.
  • Liaise between HRIS and vendors to resolve system issues.
  • Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and usability of data and related interfaces
  • Support employees, managers and other HR staff in the entry of HRIS transactions
  • Coordinate, track, and report on the progress work of assignments and/or projects

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree (HR, Information Systems Management, or other IT field preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in database administration, system management or HR system administration
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and creative problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports in charts, graphs, and table format
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite to include Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Power BI
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with both the functional community as well as the IT community
  • Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to exchange accurate information with MFA Oil Company employees and customers in English
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or sitting) for up to nine hours per shift
  • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
