Description
As our Resource Adequacy Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and conducting studies related to Resource Adequacy and Planning Resource Auctions. This includes performing Loss of Load Expectation (LOLE) studies, analyzing Seasonal Accredited Capacity (SAC), and conducting Seasonal Resource Assessments. Your role will involve communicating findings to internal teams and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with resource adequacy processes. You will be part of a cross-functional team that uses Astrape SERVM and PowerGEM TARA to support resource adequacy, following established processes and identifying opportunities for improvement. In one year, your success as our Resource Adequacy Planning Engineer will be evident through your ability to effectively manage the ongoing resource fleet transition and meet MISO's Resource Adequacy requirements. We are looking for talented professionals who hold a bachelor's degree or higher in one of several engineering disciplines. Please refer to the list below for the qualifying degrees. Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge. Bachelors of Electrical Engineering Technology (required)

Related experience with Electric or Power Systems, Gas, Energy Industry, ISO/RTOs, capacity markets, and energy markets. (preferred)
Previous resource adequacy, transmission planning, or RTO experience. (preferred) Specific experience with any of the following: PowerGADs, LOLE studies, probabilistic assessment, or transmission planning. (preferred) Related capacity market or powerflow experience. (preferred) |
