MISO is an independent non-profit organization responsible for the reliable and efficient operations of the wholesale electric grid across central North America. The electric utility industry is undergoing rapid evolution and MISO is at the center of ensuring delivery of the bedrock electric power that society needs now and into the future. As an Operations Technology Engineer, you will be part of MISO's Operations Technology (OT) team, which is responsible for the brains of the electrical grid. This team provides engineering support for MISO's Energy Management System (EMS), SCADA, Synchrophasor, and other core reliability applications that monitor and control the bulk electric system. These tools collect and process over 200,000 data points to assess the health of the electrical grid and allow MISO Operations to be ready to respond to the unexpected like hurricanes and winter storms to achieve our mission of providing bulk electric power 24/7.
