Description
As our Balancing Authority and Unit Dispatch Operator, you will add to your current skillset and train to become a control room operator to support reliability of the electric power grid on a 24/7 basis in a 15-state region impacting 45 million people! You will be required to successfully complete the training and certification program to become desk-qualified for the Balancing and Dispatch team. Once certified, you will work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant execution of MISO's Dispatch and Balancing Authority (BA) functions. Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (preferred)
Experience
4 years: Experience in one of the following areas: electrical engineering, balancing authority, generation system dispatch, transmission system operations, merchant operations, generation operational planning, or power accounting (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
NERC/RC Cert (preferred)
