Based on further expansion of Low Pressure we will now make the next step and install Regional BDMs for some the key industry segments in Low pressure regionally. Focus will be on Cement, Mining & Minerals, Food & Beverage (including fermentation), and Petro-chemical.

This function will be to Cover the Americas (north to south)

In this Function you will cooperate and report to Global Segment manager LP who will be leading this team.

Ambition is as well to built up Process know-how and identify based on Broad portfolio of Atlascopco Group how we can differentiate us vs main competitors.

With the continued expansion of our Low Pressure sector, we are seeking a Regional Business Development Specialist for key industry segments within Low Pressure on a regional basis. The focus areas will include Cement, Mining & Minerals, Food & Beverage (with an emphasis on fermentation), and Petro-chemical.

This role will cover the Americas, from north to south.

You will collaborate with and report to the Global Segment Manager Low Pressure (LP), who will be heading this team. The goal is also to build process expertise and identify ways we can distinguish ourselves from main competitors using the extensive portfolio of the Atlascopco Group.

As Regional BDS you are the Atlas Copco expert in the defined key segments for low pressure :



  • Develop specialized expertise in the applications, solutions, and key players of each segment.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and market evaluation on key KPIs by segment (including leading indicators, energy consumption, CO2 emissions, sales growth, installed base, etc.)
  • Distribute knowledge within the organization by establishing and maintaining SharePoint hubs for different segments, along with providing cutting-edge training materials.
  • Ensure that all BLMs and sales teams are thoroughly briefed on agreements.
  • Promote energy audits in key account factories
  • Lead the development of key accounts within the region.


Key segments for LP encompass (but are not limited to):



  • Cement
  • Mining and Minerals
  • Food (including Fermentation)
  • Petro-chemical


Effective collaboration with colleagues handling segments and global key accounts for Medium Pressure (MP), High Pressure (HP), Compressor Technique Service (CTS), and Industrial Air (AII) is essential. Additionally, cooperation with other Business Areas should be utilized when appropriate.

Additionally, you adopt a proactive stance in developing the business within these segments:



  • Develop strategies to boost our customer base among existing global accounts and OEMs: pinpoint areas where we can introduce additional products or solutions and expand into more countries or regions.
  • Identify the Global accounts and OEMs we're not involved with, develop an action plan, and collaborate with Customer Center (CC) and Marketing colleagues to implement and monitor it.
  • Track and expand the Oil Free Air (OFA) business within critical segments by establishing key performance indicators for each account and segment.
  • Ensure data quality transparency to track our development by segment and key accounts. Lead the region in improving data quality and ensure consistent reporting of NAISC codes by all CCs.
  • Organize frequent segment meetings with CC's to accelerate business growth by outlining country-specific action plans.
  • Drive regional-level dialogues with main global key accounts (at their headquarters) and original equipment manufacturers within your specific segment.
  • Ensure the tracking of key projects with customers, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with CTS on matters such as technical issues, pricing, and service contracts.
  • Stay in close communication with the CC at the headquarters location.


You will be part of the dynamic LP team and have regular contacts with the colleagues in Marketing and the Customer Centers and with the Customers in your key segments.

Experience / Skills



  • Sales experience in the Cement, Mining, Food and Beverage, or Petrochemical sectors would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of LP portfolio
  • A high level of motivation and a strong focus on achieving results.
  • Team player - able to cooperate with multiple stakeholder
  • An extensive understanding of the OFA product range
  • A genuine ambassador for Atlas Copco
  • Capable of performing tasks autonomously
  • Proficient in English and effective at communicating with customers and colleagues globally.
  • Prepared to Travel
