Job Summary
The Body Shop Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervision of operations and support processes necessary to execute body shop services in accordance with customer requirements for assigned accounts. Working under general management guidance, this role provides coordination and direction to administrative staff and production labor to ensure that body shop production, safety, quality, service, and billing processes are completed properly within required timeframes and that information is correctly collected and reported to support internal business processes and customer requirements.

Primary Objectives
  • Supervise body shop staff effectively in alignment with Pasha's values and business and contract requirements.
  • Manage effective, service-driven relationships with customers.
  • Plan, coordinate, drive, and manage execution of services according to customer and Pasha requirements and timeframes.
  • Actively manage and review processes using a metrics-driven continuous improvement approach.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, quality system standards, and Pasha's policies.
  • Complete timely and accurate data reconciliation and reporting to support billing and other business processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedule, monitor, and supervise work assignments, productivity, and quality of body shop processes including repairs, inspections, quality control, and direct customer communication.
  • Write body shop estimates and promptly report additional costs, materials, or parts needed on a work order.
  • Provide damage reports to assembly and processing groups to minimize terminal wide damages and damage rates.
  • Ensure accurate time records of warranty/repair work and update all pertinent warranty, repair and campaign documentation.
  • Ensure quality standards utilizing customer test equipment, technical information systems, parts ordering, flat rate system, and customer-specific tools.
  • Monitor and enforce safety practices as standard operating behavior.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of customer requirements and parameters, internal quality procedures, and applicable regulations, safety requirements, and internal practices relevant to scope of work. Communicate and document requirements effectively to ensure employee and vendor awareness as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Pasha departments including Parts, Labor, Safety, Training, Client Services, and Finance to ensure seamless communication and program execution to meet customer's goals and expectations.
  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) published in the Pasha Operating System.
  • Working with the senior management team, create and improve processes to maximize quality, productivity, and revenue using LEAN Manufacturing principles within the Pasha Operating System.
  • Prepare for and participate in ISO and Customer audits. Conduct regular inspections to ensure audit readiness and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain established quality standard and efficiency targets to daily production plan results. Post results daily, identify performance and execution deficiencies, and provide root cause analysis and action item documentation process; identify and implement counter measures for defects outside of control limit.
  • Research and resolve any discrepancies within scope of control; communicate proactively to support resolution of items outside of role scope. Apply Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) documentation processes as appropriate.
  • Conduct internal time studies and operational, quality, and performance reviews and provide data-driven coaching, feedback, recognition, and corrective action to employees.
  • Ensure that sufficient communication procedures, staff cross-training, process documentation, and technical training is in place to allow for normal time off, turnover, and reassignment of staff.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the provisions of current collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ensure that processes and task execution conforms to technical and record keeping requirements.
  • Perform regular audits, data entry, and reporting necessary to ensure data integrity within and between systems, visibility of production outcomes, and performance metrics and trends.
  • Support maintenance of accurate billing by working with accounting to ensure all services performed are included in a monthly billing cycle.
  • Reconcile month-end tooling needs and labor consumption of each assigned account.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Associate degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of experience and coursework required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid state issued driver license and acceptable driving record required
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential required
Work Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a body shop environment required
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Experience in an automotive vehicle processing environment preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of body shop operations and related principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of applicable environmental regulations, including requirements set forth by the APCD (Air Pollution Control District) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and relevant hazardous materials handling, posting, disposal and storage requirements.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage and deliver on multiple competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize projects and deliverables, and interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels: * Excel, Word, Outlook: Intermediate level of skill

This role requires work that may involve the following environmental conditions:

  • Fast paced production environment including shop floor and outdoors in the vehicle staging yard, where inclement weather conditions may occur.
  • Outdoor/open environments which may involve high/low temperatures, humidity and inclement weather conditions.
  • Warehouse and storage facilities that may have both paved and unpaved acreage with a variety of structures.
  • Work days and hours may vary to accommodate operations.
  • Work schedule may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Zone 2: Starting rate $78,000; up to $90,000 for highly qualified candidates
