Cloud Network Manager-Onsite

The Cloud Network Manager role will be primarily focused on leading a team of cloud networking professionals. The Cloud Network Manager evaluates and identifies cloud technologies, both public cloud and private data center, that align with the network, application, security, and operational requirements of Netsmart Solutions. They help guide and direct the team in the implementation and management of these cloud technologies, ensuring a seamless integration between the public cloud and private data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

The Cloud Network Manager will also work closely with the engineering and infrastructure cloud teams to embed these technologies into existing solutions or create new ideas and innovative solutions and processes that help the organization scale its cloud capabilities across both public and private environments. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of Netsmart's Best-In-Class team deploying innovative and new cloud networking solutions that leverage the benefits of both public cloud and private data center infrastructure.

This role will be based onsite at the company's Overland Park, KS location. The Cloud Network Manager will be responsible for leading the cloud networking team, driving the strategic direction of Netsmart's hybrid cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the successful delivery of cloud-based networking solutions that support the overall business objectives, regardless of whether they are deployed in the public cloud or private data center. Additional responsibilities referenced below. No relocation or Sponsorship is available for this role.

  • Setup and configuration of complex network environments
  • Execute and maintain networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
  • Maximize network performance through proactive monitoring; troubleshooting network problems and outages; plan, document, and schedule upgrades and changes to network infrastructure; collaborates with network architects on network optimization, design, and implementation
  • Assist in the design of IP address schemes, Subnetting, Ether-Channel (Bonding), etc.
  • Maintain multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (Security, IP Routing, VPN, etc.)
  • Evaluate the security of a network design and make improvement recommendations

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Prior Leadership of a network, infrastructure team
  • At least 5 plus years of experience in complex network environment support
  • At least 5 plus year of experience designing, managing and/or assessing complex IT infrastructures
  • Expertise in infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancing and networks
  • Excellent operational and delivery skills
  • Ability to "think big" and challenge conventional wisdom
  • Complex Wireless and network experience
  • Experience supporting multiple solutions and different types of network tools

Preferred

  • Experience with systems equipment such as Palo Alto, Cisco, F5
  • Current network certifications such as CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Core Infrastructure, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) -Routing and Switching or Cisco Certified Network Professional Level (CCNP) -Routing and Switching
