What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

    • Manage the global income tax provision and related disclosures, ensuring compliance with ASC 740
    • Oversee the US federal and state income tax compliance function and provide support for global tax compliance
    • Lead efforts in complex tax matters, including GILTI, transfer pricing, interest limitation, valuation allowance, etc.
    • Team with the Director of Tax to develop, recommend and implement a global income tax strategy, including developing or expanding in-house capabilities and managing outsourced functions
    • Collaborate with colleagues throughout Convergint on tax planning, tax controversy, internal restructurings, mergers and acquisition and new business initiatives to understand all impacts to and considerations for the tax function
    • Champion operational excellence through process improvement, leveraging best practices, and promoting automation and technology to enhance efficiency
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external consultants and auditors



    Education Requirements



    • Bachelor's degree, preferred in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA and MST or equivalent experience preferred



    Job Skills & Experience Requirements



      • 10+ years of diverse tax experience in a fast-paced environment, with Big 4 accounting firm experience and corporate/in-house experience with US-based multinational company
      • Extensive experience with domestic income tax compliance and tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740 for US-based multinational corporations; international experience is a plus
      • Demonstrated ability to be hands-on, resourceful, detail-oriented, and results-oriented
      • Effective project management skills and ability to manage high-pressure situations and make critical decisions amidst shifting priorities
      • Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to effectively communicate with management, staff and external resources

      Qualifications
      Education
      Masters of Taxation (preferred)
      Bachelors of Accounting (required)
      Experience
      10 years: 10+ years of diverse tax experience in a fast-paced environment, with Big 4 accounting firm experience and corporate/in-house experience with US-based multinational company (required)
