Job Description:

Position Title: Mobile Field Mechanic - Aerial Equipment

Location: Austin, TX

Reporting to: Field Service Supervisor

Open to Relocation: No

On-Site/Hybrid/Remote: Remote

Travel Required: 75%

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
• Follow and promote The Terex Way Values
• Work on a wide array of equipment including: truck mounted aerial platforms, mobile elevating work platforms
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems
• Manage own schedule and support customers with repairs
• Utilize current technology to support everyday work functions

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to pass MVR
• Minimum of 10 years in a similar field
• Currently have a basic set of tools such as wrenches and sockets
• Ability to obtain a DOT qualification
• Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Must be located within 60 miles of Austin, TX

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Highly proficient in hydraulic and electrical system diagnostics
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Background in customer service
• Experience with AWP/MEWP equipment
• Fluid Power Society certification
• Extensive knowledge of Terex Products: e.g Hi-Ranger, Telelect
• Experience in rental equipment such as JLG or Genie
• Basic computer skills

Work Environment Considerations:

• Must be willing to work varied hours, including evenings as necessary and be on the road three to four nights per week.
• Able to climb ladders and over and under vehicles.
• Willing to work in different weather conditions
• Tolerable to heights
• Able to lift, push, pull up to 40 lbs

Salary: The compensation range for this position is $28-33 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
