The Material Handling Associate is responsible for ensuring proper handling of incoming and outgoing materials.

Essential Functions

  • Use simple equipment moving materials
  • Handle the necessary documentation while receiving or sending materials
  • Know the correct location materials should be stored
  • Assist with the inventory process
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ensures safety measures are followed to protect personnel ad company property
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing quality and timely results
  • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor and management
  • Take Care of loading and unloading of the material from trucks

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Overtime as needed)

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a high school education and two year of factory-related experience
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving and inventory standards and practices
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment to assure delivery requirements
  • Effective stress and time management

Preferred Education and Experience

Manufacturing/industry experience.
