Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide contract oversight and management support for all contract personnel assigned to the Naval Sea System Command's Office of Corporate Communication, ensuring contract personnel are positioned to successfully develop and execute the near and long-term plans needed to meet contract requirements.
Coordinate the technical review process for all documents requiring approval before public release, ensuring compliance with Navy guidelines and security protocols.
Serve as the primary liaison between authors, subject matter experts, and approval authorities to facilitate efficient document review and approval cycles.
Develop and maintain a tracking system for document submissions, reviews, and approvals, providing regular updates to stakeholders on the status of technical reviews.
Review documents for adherence to technical guidelines, clarity, and completeness, providing constructive feedback to authors as needed.
Organize and prioritize technical review requests based on urgency and importance, ensuring critical documents are expedited through the review process.
Implement and refine document review workflows and processes to increase efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and ensure consistent quality in technical communications.
Conduct training sessions for staff on technical writing best practices and the technical review process to improve document quality and compliance.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical review processes, document management, or a similar role, ideally within a governmental, military, or defense-related environment.
Familiarity with Navy operations, terminology, and technical documentation standards is highly desirable.
