  • Be responsible for providing technical support for requirements development, concept development, engineering, integration and test, and performance analysis as tasked by Technical Division stakeholders.
  • Support senior technical personnel and project managers within the organization in various technical activities related to system and technical product development, including:

    • Addressing technical questions and concerns, especially from an overall system integration perspective
    • Attending working group meetings
    • Reviewing system diagrams
    • Supporting GFE manager with technical system concerns
    • Developing white papers and briefing materials


  • Provide technical guidance and review of Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDRs) as well as Test & Evaluation of components and systems.
  • Duties include the collection of information and data, performance of various tests, engineering computations, and measurements and analyses.
  • Travel for site visits, audits, or inspections when required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience with HM&E systems, addressing engineering questions, and reviewing HM&E system diagrams. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 6 years of relevant work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD clearance post employment.
  • Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 10% travel time required.


Additional desired experience and skills:



  • Prior experience working with a shipyard, or in the Navy marine shipbuilding industry.
