Salary Range: $69,230 - $96,200 This individual will need to have a broad spectrum of experience with a variety of datalink tools and the ability to take a holistic view of the aircraft as a system, to include an understanding of systems engineering, aircraft subsystems, risk analysis and management, basic aircraft performance, and safety and reliability. Additionally, the incumbent will manage hardware/software configurations, perform asset repairs for the different Joint Tactical Radio Systems, provide training to fleet end users, and maintain security manger responsibilities for COMSEC and simple key loaders Essential Job Functions: Proficient at performing on the spot intermediate level software upgrades, repairs and training for Low Volume Terminal (LVT), Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), and Tactical Targeting Network Technology (TTNT). Expert in utilizing a variety of Data Link support tools including Battlefield Operations Support System (BOSS), TADL-J Host Simulator (TJHS), LINK-16 Environment Gateway Stimulator (LEGS), Terminal Exerciser (TE), Multi-function Integrated Test System (MITS) and the JTRS Human Machine interface GUI. Ability to manage hardware /software configurations and asset repairs to 40 MIDS JTRS terminals critical to F/A-18 integration and regression lab and flight test. Ability to perform security manager responsibilities for over 150 COMSEC line items. Proficient with the Simple Key Loaders and able to draft F/A-18 naval user instructions. Proficient with multiplex bus analysis, platform troubleshooting, and inspections for DLS and ViaSat MIDS Low volume Terminals (LVT) and Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS). Provide subject matter expertise to platform integration engineers and aircrew for F/A-18 integration testing. Proficient at conducting engineering investigations related to LVT and JTRS operation, maintenance, applications, and platform integration. Provide just in time training to the F/A-18 fleet. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. High school diploma with 13 years of relevant experience or associate degree with 7 years related experience. Experience with Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Radios to include MIDS Low Volume Terminal and MIDS Joint Tactical Radio Set (JTRS) a must. Experience working on or around F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft a must. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required. Travel will be required. Desired Skills: The individual must have strong communication skills that are necessary to effectively coordinate integration and certification activities across multiple engineering disciplines and support organizations. |
