Are you an experienced Railcar Repair Leader looking for opportunities to grow within a thriving company? If that's you, we invite you to join our team in being a part of an integral leadership role in helping us grow our operations in Railcar Repair at the ExxonMobil facility in Baton Rouge! This position has upward mobility to grow within our company in the petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate must have experience in leading (supervising / managing) teams (industry experience is a plus). This individual must also be highly self-motivated and will build trust and open communication to continue our mission to be the best at what we do.

Work Schedule: M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm, but times could vary based on scheduled jobs. Must be able to work overtime if needed. Some evenings and weekends are required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:


  • The overall expectation for this position is to lead our railcar repair group by ensuring safe, efficient and productive operations in accordance with AAR, FRA and company guidelines.
  • Reviews AAR Circular Letters, Maintenance Advisories and Early Warning Letters, if applicable have systems to communicate with all affected employees
  • Train, support and enforce all employees to meet company and customer safety policies
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and job briefings with mobile repair employees
  • Assist in scheduling jobs based upon employee's experience
  • Facilitates customer, AAR and FRA compliance audits
  • Provides information and advice to senior management on matters relating to safe and quality repair operation
  • Participates in customer on site safety program
  • Collaborates with field employees and customers throughout the workday to identify and implement improvements / efficiencies
  • Seeks new business opportunities and works to expand these operations, as appropriate
  • Identifies future leaders and creates individual employee development plans
  • Performs annual performance evaluations with field employees
  • Leads, monitors and trains on railcar repairs
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job


Preferred Job Qualifications:


  • Experience in a leadership role involving railcar repair operations, safety, and training
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to build trust
  • Attentive and active listening skills


Minimum Job Qualifications:



  • Knowledge and experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) or railcar repair
  • Must be able to obtain and possess a valid driver's license and TWIC card
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
