POSITION SUMMARY
As aMachine OperatorIIwithLiberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business bybeing a key playerinsafelyproducingqualitycorrugatedproductsfor our customers.You will workwithin asmallgroup, and as an operator youwill helpbe aleader withinyour crewto maximize machineefficienciesby setting up orders correctly, performing quality checks and communicating issues.

This full-time position reports directly toaProduction Supervisorand is located atour Omaha, NEmanufacturing facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operatemachinebysettingup ordersaccordingto customer specifications,followingorder readinessprocessofefficientlypreparingtheright toolsto complete thejob.
  • Perform quality checksbyinspectinga first article, andarticles throughout the orderto identifyerrors,ensuringquality productalong withmonitoringequipment and raw materials.
  • Enterproductionmetrics intoacomputerelectronicsystemtoaccuratelytrackprogressof production rates, quality, maintenance,anddowntime.
  • Proactively communicateissues with equipment toappropriate leaders,troubleshootissues,and problem solveindividually and as a teamto maximize overall equipment efficiencyand minimize downtime.
  • Provides guidance to Assistant Machine Operators, as needed.
  • Intermittentlyassist with minor repairs to equipmentin partnership with maintenance team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work areabyfollowingpost ordercleaning process.
  • Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined forthemachine center.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


REQUIREDEDUCATION,EXPERIENCEAND SKILLS
  • High School diploma orGEDequivalentfrom an accredited institutionAND 3+ years of work experience within a manufacturing environmentOR4+ years manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience with reading a tape measure to within 1/16" measurement.
  • Previous experience with a computer using skills such as typing, printing,and data entry.
  • Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Previous experience reading and completing detailed work instructions.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Experience within the corrugated industry
  • Experience withoperational excellence orcontinuous improvement programs - Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events
