Description

As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks two Data Analysts to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by assisting with various functions that support institutional research; educational assessment; and university, school, and program-level accreditation.

As members of the Office of Institutional Research & Assessment, the Data Analysts will work collaboratively with the Director to perform the various functions of the office. The Data Analysts are self-starters with attention to detail and the ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse population of faculty and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
  • Ensure the accessibility and meaningful use of high-quality data by faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Manage accreditation initiatives and compliance reporting for state, federal, and other external agencies
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify and communicate themes, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Gather and maintain data related to student enrollment, retention, graduation, and other relevant metrics
  • Provide support and training for campus partners in the areas of data collection, analysis, interpretation, and use
  • Develop, design, and administer internal online surveys that support university initiatives
  • Work closely with external partners to ensure the successful administration of national student engagement and campus climate surveys
  • Respond to ad-hoc and routine data requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage in research projects by summarizing literature reviews and web searches, analyzing data, and sharing findings and implications
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with Information Technology, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and other campus offices
  • Attend local, regional, and national conferences, webinars and workshops to maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, current trends, and emerging issues

To be qualified for this position the candidate must have a bachelor's degree, as well as experience in data collection, analysis, interpretation, and use. Preference will be given to those with experience with SPSS/R and/or SQL.
