Responsible for all data standards, toolsets, architecture, and design decisions. Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate ingestion, transformation and storage. Use Python and SQL for custom scripting, automation, and integration with structured, semi-structured and machine learning models. Use SQL Servers, Snowflake, Data Lake and Delta Lake for data storage and management. Use Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics and Databricks for Data orchestration, integration, transformation and compliance. Lead data engineering team. Oversee data infrastructure on Cloud platforms utilizing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics. Use Alation for data quality and governance. Use ADO DevOps for Agile management, version control, Continuous Integration and deployment. Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Identify and address technical challenges. Work with data scientists to enable advanced analytics, AI & machine learning initiatives. Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Document processes, standards, and best practices. Requires: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, 5 years of progressive data systems engineering experience, and proficiency with Azure data engineering tools (incl. Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake Storage & SQL Database), Databricks, Snowflake, Python, DBT, ADO DevOps, NoSQL, Oracle or SAP, Alation or Collibra. #LI-DNI Come and join our Sparkling team!
