Pay Grade: 920 Location: Possum Kingdom Lake Vacancy Announcement NATURE OF THE WORK Safety Sensitive Position WC 8227 BRIEF DESCRIPTION The purpose of this position is to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance for Brazos River Authority (BRA) on numerous types of heavy equipment, such as a barge mounted crawler crane, hydraulic crane, 185 thru 750 CFM air compressors, diesel, gasoline, and electric welding machines, excavating equipment, outboard motors, abrasive blast equipment, metalizing equipment, gasoline and diesel trucks, overhead hoists, air winches, hydraulic pumps and motors, electric pumps and motors, water blaster, and grout injection equipment. This position is responsible for all major and minor repairs and maintenance to fleet vehicles; performing daily and monthly crane inspections; operating cranes and heavy equipment; and training equipment operators on cranes and loaders. Additional duties include rebuilding power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws; assisting with the repair, maintenance, and maintaining BRA facilities, dams, roads and pipelines; purchasing materials, blasting supplies, and safety equipment; and any other duties as assigned. High School Plus Vocational Training - Obtained with advanced study or training past high school. KEY COMPETENCIES
