Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive Lead Software Engineer with expertise in client-server environment development and Agile development methodology. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, guiding a team of engineers in project planning, software development, and integration efforts of our software development initiatives in monitoring and control of antenna systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from prototyping architecture concepts to overseeing the deployment of monitoring and control software for complex antenna systems.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead and provide guidance to a team of software engineers, including project planning, tasking, and monitoring of activities.
  • Prototype and validate architecture concepts to ensure feasibility and performance.
  • Administer software development tools, ensuring their availability and functionality (e.g., version control, issue tracking).
  • Establish policies for branching, code review processes, and documentation standards for developers.
  • Build and customize Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS7, Rocky8) for both virtualized environments and bare hardware.
  • Generate and build RPMs necessary for antenna systems and Monitoring & Control (M&C) software.
  • Develop and support (M&C) software, including database design, application development, and integration with antenna hardware.
  • Integrate customer systems with our software solutions, ensuring seamless operation and customer satisfaction.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS) or Software Engineering (BSSE), or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software development, with a focus on Linux-based systems and client-server environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux administration and scripting languages such as Perl and Python
  • Strength in C/C++.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Proficient understanding of engineering processes and design tools; Agile development methodology using Microsoft DevOps is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and industry-standard development tools.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • Experience in database design and management is a plus.
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
