Financial Reporting Accounting Intern - Summer 2025

Description:

Financial Reporting intern will assist with preparing Cox Enterprises, Inc., Cox Communications, Inc. and Cox Automotive, Inc.'s quarterly financial results. This role will also assist with ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in preparation of consolidated quarterly financial statement reports for internal and external distribution, including coordinating with divisions
  • Prepare and/or review month-end close related schedules (i.e. reconciliation, rollforward)
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual benefit plan financial statements


Preferred Skills

  • Preferred completion of upper level accounting classes (ex. Intermediate Accounting I and II)


Requirements:

  • Minimum 90 total credits
  • Minimum 3.25 GPA
  • Unofficial Transcript
  • Subject to a background check
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.


Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.

USD 21.06 - 31.63 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $21.06 - $31.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
