Overview

The Business Manager, Partners For Kids (PFK) supports the development and implementation programs aimed at ensuring PFK members receive appropriate and available financial support that can improve a child's social determinants of health. The Business Manager coordinates with NCH marketing and PFK leadership to share timely updates with providers and community partners through a regular newsletter, website, and various marketing materials, supervises payroll tasks, and supports the organization and distribution of information across the department.

Responsibilities

* Develops, implements, and maintains programs that connect families to financial support including Medicaid enrollment, Supplemental Security Income, Earned Income Tax Credit, and WIC and SNAP benefits. Participates in developing goals and objectives.
* Coordinates development of a regular newsletter, materials that market Partners For Kids services, and content for the Partners For Kids website.
* Manages an operating budget in collaboration with clinical and operational leadership that funds programming, provider-facing resources, and NCQA accreditation.
* Participates in developing goals and objectives, and in designing and implementing appropriate plans to meet agreed upon goals.
* Updates and maintains staff access to Partners For Kids internal resources, assists with space needs, and coordinates regular all staff meetings.
* Manages and supervises payroll tasks for care coordination staff.

Qualifications

Education Requirement:
* Bachelor's Degree, required.
* Master's Degree in business, healthcare administration or public health, preferred.

Licensure Requirement:
Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Skills:
* High level of independence with the ability to hit tight deadlines and take initiative on multiple projects.
* Analytical ability necessary to develop sound policies, procedure and budgets for assigned unit.
* Demonstrated effective intrapersonal and communication skills sufficient to provide effective leadership for subordinate personnel, to maintain a variety of internal and external contacts and to interact effectively with physicians, operational staff, and community partners.

Experience:
* Three years of progressively responsible program management experience, required.
* Experience with public benefits, government agencies, and community-based programs, preferred.
