Overview

The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for attracting, hiring, and retaining the best employees for MFA Oil Company, Break Time, and Big O Tires. The Recruiter handles recruiting efforts for the company including managing job requisitions, posting positions, sourcing and interviewing candidates, creating job offers, and completing hiring procedures, while growing a strong talent pipeline.

Responsibilities



  • Recruit, pre-screen and evaluate candidates for open requisitions, complying will EEO and related regulatory requirements.
  • Work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and understand the requirements of the opening
  • Attract applicants by placing job ads on job sites, social media platforms, college boards, news outlets, and other resources, continuously seeking new avenues for sourcing a diverse applicant pool.
  • Promote the MFA Oil Company brand and core values
  • Actively participate in recruiting and networking events to represent MFA Oil Company, Break Time, and/or Big O Tires
  • Determine applicant qualifications by reviewing application materials, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Document and maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data within the applicant tracking system for the company
  • Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring managers, business leaders and HR
  • Maintain contact with respective hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure timeliness and maximum effectiveness of the recruitment process and to provide status updates as appropriate
  • Educate applicants and hiring managers on our hiring process, policies, training, and benefits
  • Support reaching AAP goals by attracting a diverse applicant pool
  • Track and report key recruiting metrics
  • Maintain company social media accounts as it relates to recruiting needs
  • Assist with reference checks, background checks, and drug test forms as required
  • Assist with developing efficient on-boarding and orientation practices
  • Participate and contribute for miscellaneous compliance tasks, various research projects and/or special projects
  • Continue to grow and improve MFA Oil's summer internship program working with various universities and colleges
  • All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of experience in a related field, with strong emphasis on customer service
  • Prior experience building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Active social media presence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent organization skills Ability to work and keep on schedule with minimal supervision
  • Results driven
  • Strong team player with a focus on continuous improvement and ability to drive an outstanding candidate experience
  • Passion for building a diverse, talented, and strong employee base
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Some overnight travel required and unconventional working hours on occasion
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States


Preferred Skills



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • Hands-on experience with ATS and/or HRIS
  • Proven experience in a recruitment role
