Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Lead to join our U.S./UK Joint Program team in Washington, DC.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to directly support our U.S. Navy customer at the Washington Navy Yard, engaging them on a daily basis and providing proactive technical and programmatic support. In this position, you will coordinate and execute U.S./UK joint program technical meetings, providing a written summary of each meeting. You will be the liaison for the atomic reporting, as well as the Polaris Sales Agreement (PSA) export control requirements and tracking. You will assist the customer in tracking and verifying electronic file transmission through defined information sharing channels between our U.S. Government personnel and the UK Government.

The ideal candidate should be able to effectively:

  • Work independently and with the Colorado-based Arcfield team, which will require prodigious communication skills via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Become the dedicated point of contact for all meeting management and logistics between the U.S. and UK government and their contractors for assigned meeting forums
  • Coordinate and host technical program meetings and prepare written summaries afterwards
  • Understand technical vernacular and systems engineering concepts
  • Understand and manage transmissibility reporting for all atomic information exchanges with the UK government
  • Track and support electronic file transmission for various meetings and briefings
  • Work one-on-one with our U.S. Navy customer to provide:
    • Real-time daily communication between the customer and Arcfield staff
    • Classification reviews of both unclassified and classified documents to ensure there are no classification issues
    • Tracking of customer assigned action items and driving them to closure by gathering and organizing the technical details from all U.S. organizations involved into a draft presentation for the customer
    • Meeting preparation to include drafting agendas, confirming attendees, reviewing action item status, and drafting customer presentations
    • Periodic reports of UK-tagged requirements tracing in DOORS
    • Any other UK program tasking requested
  • Write technical reports and other technical documentation as required by the contract
  • Update DOORS with changes to requirements and tag with UK interest when requirements affect the UK program, and providing periodic reports
  • Perform other duties in support of the customer as required
  • Able and willing to travel domestically/internationally in accordance with customer meeting requirements

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • A BS/BA in a technical (Science or Engineering) field of study and 5+ years of experience, MS and 3-5 years of experience, PhD and 0-2 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience with organization, logistics, and meeting management
  • Demonstrated experience and willingness to be a technical writer and editor when producing content
  • Proactive and organized personality with the ability to multitask
  • Able to work face-to-face with customer in an office setting
  • Able to independently prepare presentations and meeting materials for the customer
  • Able to work closely and clearly communicate with the customer, other organizations on the UK program team, and Arcfield team across multiple office locations
  • Understand and follow security-related operations
  • Able to grow in your career with a diverse team
  • A positive mindset that is willing to continue to learn
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Able to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance and DOE Q clearance
  • Possess strong written and oral skills

Desired Experience:

  • An active final DoD Top Secret clearance or active DOE Q clearance
  • An MS or MA in a technical (Science or Engineering) field of study and have 3+ years of related experience
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical content
  • Experience working in a classified environment and with security-related operations
  • Experience with or knowledge of the Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile program
  • Familiar with the design and military utilization of nuclear weapons
  • Familiar with treaty and agreements related to the U.S./UK nuclear cooperation

Equal Pay Act

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
