During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Collaborate on real work projects by creating basic plans and details for transit and rail projects, specifically traction power designs and related infrastructure.
  • Assist in collecting and organizing information for design, cost estimates, and project verification.
  • Learn to develop 3D models and construction plans using CADD software.
  • Review vendor drawings to check they follow project specifications.
  • Support the development of reports and gather information from other projects and clients.
Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's program in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated interest in transmission engineering, traction power, or control systems through prior internships or applied academic coursework.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
